Ingredients You’ll Need
• 8 oz fettuccine or pasta of your choice
Salt to taste
For the Shrimp:
• 1 lb large shrimp, peeled and deveined
• 1/2 tsp onion powder
• 1/2 tsp garlic powder
• 1/2 tsp paprika
• 1/2 tsp ground black pepper
• 1/4 tsp chili powder
• 1/4 tsp cumin
• 1/4 tsp chicken bouillon
• 1/4 tsp salt
For the Sauce:
• 1 small onion, chopped
• 2 1/2 cups heavy whipping cream
• 1 tbsp unsalted butter
• 2 garlic cloves, minced
• 1 tbsp all-purpose flour
• 1 tbsp fresh parsley, chopped (plus more for garnish)
Step-by-Step Instructions
1. Cook Your Pasta
Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Add your pasta and cook until al dente according to package directions. Drain, set aside, and keep a little pasta water just in case you need to thin the sauce later.
⸻
2. Season & Cook the Shrimp
In a bowl, toss your shrimp with the onion powder, garlic powder, paprika, black pepper, chili powder, cumin, chicken bouillon, and salt.
Heat a large skillet over medium heat and add a drizzle of olive oil or butter. Cook shrimp for 1–2 minutes per side until pink and opaque. Remove from the skillet and set aside.
⸻
3. Build That Creamy Sauce
In the same skillet, melt the butter over medium heat. Add the chopped onion and sauté until it turns soft and translucent, about 3 minutes. Stir in the minced garlic and cook for another 30 seconds—just until fragrant.
Sprinkle the flour over the onions and garlic, stirring to form a paste. Slowly pour in the heavy whipping cream while whisking, making sure there are no lumps. Let the sauce simmer gently for 4–5 minutes until it begins to thicken.
⸻
4. Bring It All Together
Add the shrimp back into the skillet, tossing them in the creamy sauce. Add the cooked pasta and stir until everything is coated in that luscious Alfredo goodness. If the sauce feels too thick, add a splash of the reserved pasta water until you reach your perfect consistency.
⸻
5. Serve & Enjoy
Garnish with fresh parsley and a little extra Parmesan if you like. Serve immediately, and watch it disappear!

💡 Pro Tip: Want extra depth of flavor? Sear your shrimp in butter and olive oil for a golden crust before adding them back into the sauce.
